FCCLA

The FCCLA has an exciting year ahead for us.  One of the main community service projects we have planned at the moment is in conjunction with Pheobe's home, a safe place for women and children who are subject to domestic violence.  We will be placing boxes around the school to receive donations for items badly needed by the shelter:

toothpaste

anti-bacterial handwipes

diaper wipes

Each Iola FCCLA member will donate a Christmas stocking filled with toys for the children at Phoebe's home. Our chapter also hopes to send volunteers to Twin City Mission, who sponsors Pheobe's home, to aid in the packaging of care boxes and Christmas presents. 

In addition to our service project, the club also plans to attend a San Antonio Spurs game sometime next semester on FCCLA night.  A portion of the proceeds from the ticket sales will benefit our chapter.  We are also planning a trip to the Dallas Market some time in December.  Members will have an opportunity to see a wholesale market where many department stores purchase their products.
