A Message from the Superintendent
Hello Bulldog Family,
As I begin my sixth year here in Iola, I want to say how honored I am to be serving in my new role as Superintendent. As I begin my twentieth year in education, and I reflect on the time I spent as a junior high and high school teacher and coach, and the years I’ve served as a junior high, high school, and elementary principal I must say that serving this district and this community is definitely the highlight of my career.
Over the last five years, many of you have learned that my goal for Iola High School and Iola Elementary School was to become the best in Texas at everything we do. That goal has not changed. As Superintendent of Iola ISD, my goal remains the same, to be the very best at everything we set out to accomplish. Whether it’s STAAR and EOC results, our A-F accountability rating, athletics, UIL academics, or fine arts, we should never settle for mediocre or average. We should, and will, strive to give our all everytime we step up to represent Iola ISD.
The reason you have seen me at every event I can make it to is to support our kids. As Superintendent, that will not change. I will be at every event I can possibly make it to, in order to support, cheer for, high five, and love our kids in the good times and the not so good times.
This is my open invitation for you to stop by. Please come see me if you need anything, and remember… IT’S A GREAT DAY TO BE A BULLDOG!
