 Why Schoology is great for Iola ISD students

Schoology will be provided to each student at every grade level in Iola ISD. Since it is a high-end solution, students can expect to have a higher level of rigor than was given as instructional support in the spring sememster. Iola ISD is committed to the academic success of our students and Schoology is a step we are taking to ensure our students have what they need as remote learners. However, this solution will be used in the classroom multiple times a week, as well. It is a LEARNING management system, not just a CLASSROOM management system (per TEA) so all resources, assignments, and integrated applications can be found within Schoology.

Students IN Schoology

Iola ISD teachers are working hard to create lessons, learn proper disbursement techniques, and use the best tools and apps available in Schoology. Students will be able to access all classes, with a unified format, safely communicate with teachers, track assignments through a calendar option, view their own progress and do much, much more in the new LMS. Students can interact, as well. They are able to record videos (if required by the assignment), take assessments, write and show work on a math problem, and communicate with classmates, when instructionally appropriate.

Student Logins

Students will be given login information and a Schoology tutorial the first week of school. Additionally, there are apps on the major market application stores that can be used in conjunction with your Apple or Android device.
