Our latest podcast episode celebrates the heart and sound of Iola Band! Host Amanda Rollert sits down with Band Director Mr. Taylor Fowler and six outstanding seniors who share what makes band life so special.

Mr. Fowler reflects on his first year at Iola and this incredible senior class: "I wish they weren't seniors so I could get to spend more than just this one year with them." He shares how the band scored Division 1 at marching competition for the first time in 5-6 years—a moment that transformed the program's belief in what they can achieve.
These seven-year band veterans share powerful insights about leadership, consistency, and the dedication that goes into every performance. They reveal what people don't see: the hours in the Texas sun perfecting shows, the challenge of staying consistent when you're tired, and how upperclassmen must keep the bar high because younger students look up to them.
